The Mercedes-Benz Museum will once again become a vibrant place for young explorers and their families to discover: on 5 July 2026, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Family Day will be offering a wide range of creative and sporting activities for children, complete with interactive stations. In addition, rides in historic vans and trucks are planned to celebrate the anniversary of “130 Years of Commercial Vehicles”. Family Day is held in the Museum’s outdoor area, in the Atrium and on Level 0. Admission is free and registration is not required. Numerous partners from the fields of research, sports and education will be presenting their offerings. These partners include the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the Mercedes-Benz sports association SG Stern, Forscherfabrik Schorndorf and Strotmanns Magic Lounge. Further information is available at: http://www.mercedes-benz.com/familientag
Also on 5 July 2026, the Mercedes-Benz Stuttgart sales and service branch, located right next to the Museum, invites visitors to an Experience Day. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., a varied programme awaits visitors –with a focus on the brand, products and services, all under the motto “Home of Mercedes-Benz”.
Cultural offering from the city and region makes a guest appearance
A successful format returns for another round: with “Urban Culture at the Mercedes-Benz Museum”, the Museum serves as a host venue for cultural offerings from Stuttgart and the surrounding region. A new city-wide marketing campaign is making the 2026 series even more visible – inviting visitors to experience summer live at the Mercedes-Benz Museum. The programme ranges from live music and verbal art all the way to club nights. Demand is high, with four events already sold out: the summer special “MAMAGEHTTANZEN” (Mum Goes Dancing) and all three “Old School Vibes” events. Cinematic pleasure in the open air
The open-air cinema is a popular classic among the summer programmes of the Mercedes-Benz Museum. This year, it will be providing 15 open-air film evenings, against the backdrop of the Museum’s unique architecture. Works for the silver screen ranging from comedies to documentaries will be shown. The “European Outdoor Film Tour” (E.O.F.T. 2025) and the “Ocean Film Tour” are back again. Things kick off with “The Devil Wears Prada 2” on 21 August 2026. For this star-studded Hollywood comedy with a darkly humorous edge, Mercedes-Benz developed the campaign “The Art of Arrival”. At its centre is the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, which serves in the film as the saloon for the impressive entrances of Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep).
“130 Years of Commercial Vehicles”, Classics & Coffee and more
The new special exhibition “130 Years of Commercial Vehicles” opens on 28 June 2026. It presents vans and trucks from the commercial vehicle history of Mercedes-Benz. To complement the exhibition, on 28 June 2026, Classics & Coffee will focus on commercial vehicles and include rides in historic vans and trucks. Until October, the Classics & Coffee event series invites enthusiasts to take part in this classic car meet-up from 9 a.m. every Sunday in the Museum’s outdoor area – with people arriving in their own vehicles or simply visiting as admirers of classic automobiles
