Family Day highlights include trips in historic vehicles from Mercedes-Benz Vans and Mercedes-Benz Trucks, coinciding with the new special exhibition “130 Years of Commercial Vehicles” at the Mercedes-Benz Museum. The Mercedes-Benz ELF experimental charging vehicle points the way to the future of e-mobility.
The mascots accompanying Family Day as walking acts are very popular with the youngest visitors. On 5 July 2026, Carlotta, the Mercedes-Benz Museum’s mascot, will expect a visit from colleagues such as Arti (German Aerospace Center), Fritzle (VfB Stuttgart), Johnny Blue (TVB Stuttgart), Luftikus (the parents’ magazine “Luftballon”), Max der DAKs (DAK-Gesundheit) and Tom Targa (Porsche Museum).
Alongside Family Day, Mercedes-Benz’ own retail outlet next door is once again holding its Experience Day. Under the banner „20 Years of the Mercedes-Benz Centre”, visitors can experience the brand’s latest cars and the range of services. The spotlight is on the AMG GT 4-door Coupé, the new VLE, the smart #2 show car and the new S-Class.

Mercedes-Benz anniversary year “140 years of innovation”
Since Carl Benz filed the patent for the first automobile 140 years ago and Gottlieb Daimler built his motorised carriage shortly afterwards, Mercedes-Benz has dedicated itself to constant innovation and to creating the world’s most desirable cars for its customers. This ambition has driven every innovation – from the world’s first automobile in 1886 to the biggest product launch programme in the company’s history, which is currently underway. With a passion for performance and pioneering power, excellence and an unwavering commitment to customer service, the brand has consistently shaped the future of mobility. The result goes well beyond engineering achievement – it creates the unmistakable feeling which defines Mercedes-Benz in all it does: Welcome home.
Mercedes-Benz is celebrating 140 years of innovation by sending three new S-Class saloons on a transcontinental journey to 140 locations worldwide. Each place highlights the brand’s technology, heritage, pioneering spirit and global presence. Along the way customers, fans and colleagues will get to join in the celebrations – on an epic adventure that will run until October. Follow the “140 Years. 140 Places” drive across six continents on our “140 years of innovation | Mercedes-Benz Media” special and via the Mercedes-Benz Community.
